Haugur is a small family run company with the main aim to sell Siggi´s flies. Siggi´s full name is Sigurdur Hedinn and he has been tying flies since 1990 and is a very productive fly tier and designes most of the flies we are selling. Haugur is the best known fly and has been mentioned in many books on flyfishing and flytying such as 100 best flies for Atlantic Salmon by Topher Browne and Laxaflugur by Bjarni R. Jonsson and Valgard Ragnarsson. Von is also a very productive fly that Siggi.

Other recent flies designed by Siggi are Hrutur, Gosi and Skuggi. Siggi is very familiar with flies that are productive in salmon fishing as he is a professional guide in Icelandic rivers and has been for over 20 years. We also produce fly material made from the Icelandic pony which in our opinion is first class fur for wings.
